New Pooja special train starts from November 14, some cancelled due to farmer movement

New Delhi : In view of the crowds during festivals, the railway administration has decided to run a pair of bi-weekly Superfast Puja special trains for three trips from Pune to Gorakhpur from November 14 to 21 for the convenience of passengers. The North Eastern Railway spokesperson said on Tuesday that all the coaches in these trains will be reserved category and passengers traveling in it will have to follow the standards of Covid-19.

He informed that train number 02031 Pune-Gorakhpur Bi-Weekly Superfast Pooja special train departs from Pune at 16:15hrs for three rounds every Tuesday and Saturday from November 14 to 21, Ahmednagar, Manmad, Bhusawal, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bina, Jhansi, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Barabanki, Gonda and from Basti, it will depart at 21:20hrs and leave for Gorakhpur at 22:30hrs on the second day.

The spokesperson said that in the return journey 02032 Gorakhpur-Pune Bi-Weekly Superfast Puja Special train will depart from Gorakhpur at 01:15hrs for three rounds every Thursday and Monday from 16 to 23 November and reach Pune at 08:05hrs on the second day via same stations.

A total of 22 coaches including 11 sleeper class, 04 air-conditioned third class, one air-conditioned second class, four normal class and two SLRD coaches will be fitted in the structure of this train.

Some trains were canceled due to farmer agitation, route of some changed
The North Eastern Railway spokesperson said on Tuesday that 05211 Darbhanga-Amritsar special train running from Darbhanga on November 11 and 05212 Amritsar-Darbhanga special train running from Amritsar on November 13 will remain canceled. He informed that 04674 Amritsar-Jaynagar special train will run from Ambala on November 12 from Amritsar and this train will remain canceled between Amritsar-Ambala. Apart from this, it has been decided to run the Intercity Express special train between Gorakhpur-Aishbagh from November 13 till further orders.

The spokesman said that the train 05070 Aishbagh-Gorakhpur Intercity Express special train will depart from Aishbagh at 16.25 hrs, leaving Badshahnagar, Barabanki, Gonda, Balrampur, Tulsipur, Pachpedwa, Badhni, Shorathgarh, Naugarh, and Anandnagar at 22.37 hrs to reach Gorakhpur at 23.55 hrs.

Similarly, train number 05069 Gorakhpur-Aishbagh Intercity Express special train will depart from Gorakhpur at 03.45 hrs and reach Aishbagh at 10.40 hrs through the same stations. A total of 17 coaches including two coaches of generator-cum-luggage vehicle, 07 of second class chair, 04 of ordinary second class, 02 of air-conditioned third class and 02 of air-conditioned chair car will be installed in the train.
