NASA’s Hubble finds a smiling ‘face’ in ‘Space’!

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- NASA’s telescope named Hubble has captured a smiling face in the space formed by a galaxy of stars.

In an image posted by NASA on its website on November 4, two yellow orbs have been observed above an arc of light, forming a smiling face amidst of all the other stars.

The image is taken with the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope’s Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3). The image shows an area of space which is filled with galaxies of all shapes, sizes and colors and according to reports, most of them belong to the galaxy cluster SDSS J0952+3434.

Now, the arc of light is said to be formed by the NASA team is because of the galaxy whose shape was distorted due to the result of passing a massive gravity source.

NASA said, “The lower, arc-shaped galaxy has the characteristic shape of a galaxy that has been gravitationally lensed – its light has passed near a massive object en route to us, causing it to become distorted and stretched out of shape”.

The telescope which has the great ability to capture distant objects captured this to understand how new stars come to live throughout the cosmos and the entire universe.

The team of NASA expects the telescope to be able to help make amazing discoveries in the upcoming years which would be great contribution to the field of science as this is one of the most powerful telescopes sent to space till date.

Hubble returned to its normal operations on 26 October after recovering from a failure three weeks earlier.

Specialities of Hubble Telescope:

1. Hubble makes one orbit around earth every 95 minutes.
2. It is one of the most largest and versatile telescopes by NASA which is a boon to the field of astronomy.
3. The Hubble space telescope includes a two-meter wide mirror to collect starlight but is free from the distorting effects of our atmosphere and bad weather.
4. Able to view in eternal darkness and has promised to deliver exciting new results for astronomers.
