Municipal schools going digital; school children to be benefitted

The corporation seems to be concerned about the school going children now. As the study materials provided to them are going to be digitalized soon. Pimpri- Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s (PCMC) schools are trying to create a healthy environment among students by providing syllables through digital apps.

According to sources, expert’s counseling will be given to students as a stress booster during their exam period. These important decisions took place in an educational meeting for improving the quality of education. Thus, the digitalization of the study materials will make learning interesting for the students.
The meeting was held on August 16 with the objective of providing good educational services to students. Pro Sonali Gavane, the chairman of PCMC’s education committee and administrative officer Jyotsna Shinde were present in this meeting.
State government’s education and sports department took some important decisions last week which included some guidelines for schools regarding arrangements of some activities for reducing stress and adopting some easy learning methods. Schools will be taking care that these activities do not affect the regular syllabus of the children.
From the safety point of view, the firefighting system will be built at PCMC schools and it is expected that this system will save the school premises and its equipment from fire or any tragedy. For this, firefighting officers should observe and analyze the building of the school properly before installation of this system. Schools will also provide water filter to maintain good health of the children
Benefits of such programs to children:
• Educational aspect: Learning through digital apps will make the calculations for children much simpler and easier.
• Safety and security: In case of any fire tragedy which may take place in school premises, the firefighting system and equipment will prevent and protect the school children.
• Health aspect: Installing of water filters in schools will prevent the children from getting affected by waterborne diseases. The number of children falling ill will reduce.
Many such schools have been conducting various security and safety programs for the children. And hence according to reports, PCMC’s five schools will become ‘Model School’ in the near future.
Various kinds of CSR (Corporate social responsibility) activities are run in Pimpri- Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s (PCMC’s) schools. These activities help students for their overall development. It is not possible to run such activities in each and every school, that’s why they will select five PCMC schools for this project which are yet not decided.
