Mumbai Hospitals Disposes Dead Bodies of COVID Patients As Unclaimed, Families are Waiting On Other Side

Mumbai : The number of corona patients in Maharashtra has increased to 97 thousand 648 and 3590 people have died so far. 3607 new cases were reported in Maharashtra. 152 people died in a single day. There are 54 thousand patients of Corona in Mumbai alone. So far 1952 people have died in Mumbai. During the 24 hours, 1540 new cases have been found here and 97 people died in one day. As the number of patients is increasing, the condition of hospitals in Mumbai is deteriorating.

You will be surprised to know that dozens of cases were reported in Mumbai in which the corpses of those who died from Corona were buried or burnt as unclaimed. A news report claimed that a family whose patient was admitted to the trauma center in Jogeshwari and died. The family members did not even know and the dead body was burnt as unclaimed.

Actually on May 11, Rakesh Verma’s test report came positive. The BMC was informed and the BMC team immediately took Rakesh to the hospital. He was admitted to the Trauma Care Center Hospital in Jogeshwari. Since the family members were not tested, the BMC sent Rakesh Verma’s wife, two children and mother to the quarantine center. Till May 15, mother and wife kept asking Rakesh Verma about the situation through phone from the Quarantine Center. But one day Rakesh suddenly disappeared from his bed. It turned out that he was shifted to another hospital but no news was received after that.

Rakesh’s family returned home on May 25 from the Quarantine Center. On reaching the hospital, when they asked about Rakesh, no information was received. On May 27, after registering a police report after a series of rounds, a death certificate of Rakesh was found. After this, it was found that Rakesh had died on May 17 itself. The Wadala police cremated Rakesh’s dead body on May 18 as an unclaimed possession. Rakesh’s father has died earlier. He was the only son of his mother.. Now in this house there is his old mother. Rakesh’s wife and two little children, they do not know what to do? Whom to complain? Whom should they tell their pain? Whom to demand justice?
