Road Construction Work Intensified on China Border, BRO Delivers Machines by Air Force Helicopter

Pithoragarh : In the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, the BRO has sent machines for the construction of the road by an Air Force helicopter for the Munsiyari Milam road to the China border. This step was taken due to the difficulty in cutting the rock.

Actually, this road of 65 km long was having trouble cutting rock near Laspa in 22 km. Due to which BRO was trying to deliver heavy machinery here for a long time. Earlier in 2019, the Air Force helicopter tried to deliver the machine, but then this operation failed.

However, this time, the BRO has once again launched an operation to deliver machines for road construction by air force helicopter. This time this campaign was successful and the Air Force helicopter managed to deliver the machines to Laspa.

Road Construction Cost More Than 300 Crores
Officials said that the mountain is at a distance of 22 km here. Cutting its hard rocks without the help of heavy machines was very challenging. Now cutting these rocks will be easier as heavy machines can be transported to the workplace by helicopter. The Chief Engineer of BRO said, ‘Construction of the road was started in 2010 with a cost of Rs 325 crores. He said that the road is being constructed from both the ends and except for the difficult part of 22 km, the cutting work on 40 km of the road has been completed.
