Most Reports in Sushant Singh Rajput Case Are Not Reliable : CBI

Mumbai : Central investigating agency CBI, which has been investigating the death of film actor Sushant Singh Rajput since last month, has issued an official statement about the case for the first time. The CBI said on Thursday that in many media reports, the things that came out about the investigating agency are neither ‘credible’ nor ‘based on facts’, but it is ‘speculative’ in nature.

The CBI said that it is investigating the death of Sushant Singh Rajput in an ‘administrative and professional manner’. CBI spokesperson R.K. Gaur said, “Some media reports have described the CBI investigation which are speculative and not based on facts”.

The Central Investigation Agency further said, “It is reiterated that as a policy, the CBI is not sharing the details of the current investigation. The CBI spokesperson or any team member has not shared the details of the investigation with the media. The details that are being reported and being told about CBI are not reliable.”

The CBI further said, “It is requested that they please confirm the details with the CBI spokesperson before referring the CBI.” During the last one week, the Central Investigation Agency has interrogated several people including Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, her family member as well as Sushant’s friends.

A 10-member CBI special investigation team is currently in Mumbai and is investigating the circumstances under which Sushant died. Sushant was found dead in his rented flat in Bandra.

An official source said – “We have not yet reached the conclusion of the investigation. There is a lot of information coming out every day, most are unconfirmed, so we decided that a statement should be issued. Only officials know the agency’s investigation”
