Missing youth’s body found buried in Handewadi-Loni Kalbhor area
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | In an attempt to destroy evidence of a murder, a missing youth’s body was found buried in Handewadi area. The youth was missing for three days. The body was found half-buried near Patil View society during a search for the youth. An offence has been registered at the Loni Kalbhor police station. (Pune Crime)
The victim has been identified as Kiran Rohidas Hande (20), a resident of Urali Kanchan. He went missing on Friday night. His wife registered a complaint at the police station in this regard. An offence of murder and attempt to destroy evidence has been registered.
According to the police, the victim had a love marriage. He was staying in a rented accommodation. Kiran Hande’s parents live in Pune while he was working in a garage. He has a few friends in Handewadi. He did not return home on Friday night. His wife searched for him in the area. Later, she lodged a complaint with the Loni Kalbhor police.
His wife, relatives and the police were searching for him. They came to know that some persons were consuming liquor at an open ground near Patil View society. They surveyed the area and found the half-buried body. They immediately reported this to the police. PI Subhash Kale and his team visited the spot and conducted a panchnama. The body was sent for a postmortem. It was not confirmed who killed Kiran. Suspects probably tried to destroy evidence of the murder by burying the body.
The police are investigating further.
