Gang of youths who had created terror in Khadkawasla village arrested by Haveli police

Pune : NpNews24 OnlinePune Crime | The Haveli police have arrested a gang of six people for creating terror by brandishing sickles in the market of Khadakwasla village. A minor has been released after being issued a warning. The incident happened on March 16 at 9 pm. The Haveli police took the action near a hotel in Donje Phata. (Pune Crime)

 

The accused have been identified as Gaurav Rakesh Chavan (21), Parshuram Chilappa Sonkamble (21), Vishal Siddhu Bansode (23), Sourabh Kondiba Kamble (20), all residents of Lamanvasti, Khadakwasla, Ganesh Ashok Shelke (28), a resident of Taljai Vasahat, hailing from Donje and Vilas Kondiba Margale (20), a resident of Admal, Mulshi taluka.

 

According to the police, on March 16, some youths carrying sickles and sticks had beaten up some youths in Khadakwasla village. They also tried to create terror by brandishing sickles and abusing people in the market. An FIR had been registered in Haveli police station.

 

When the police were searching for them, police constables Nilesh Rane and Vilas Pradhan came to know that the accused were hiding in a hotel near Donje Phata.

 

Accordingly, API Nitin Nam, PSI Pradeep Nande, constables Nilesh Rane, Vilas Pradhan and police naik Deepak Gaikwad laid a trap and arrested them.

 

API Nitin Nam is carrying out further investigation.
