Minor girl stalk and blackmailed by road romeo

A 16-year-old girl has approached Pune police allegedly she has been harass and stalked by gang of three people for last six month and blackmailed by them to upload the morphed picture on social media.

The incident came to light on Tuesday victim lodged a complaint with Bund Garden police station which falls under the Jurisdiction of Pune city police. Based on victim complaint the police have registered the case against Arbaaz Imtiyas Shaikh (30), a resident of Rutuvihar Society, Adnan Anwar Shaikh from Daund and Mazar Shaikh from Daund.

All are booked and slapped under the relevant sections of Indian Penal Code, 1860 consist of Stalking (354D), House-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint (452), Punishment for wrongful restraint (341), Punishment for criminal intimidation (506) and an act done by them with common intention (34). They are also booked under the relevant section of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act (POCOS).

Victim in her police statement alleged that Imtiyaaz along with two other of his friend stalk her till her house. And on August 23 he forcefully entered the house and manhandled her. Later she raised alarm and he fled away. In the meantime, it seem he had click some objectionable pictures on which she was been blackmailed and threaten her if she do not accept her friendship he will be morphing such pictures, uploading the pictures on social media and defame her.

Sub-inspector Ketki Chavan of Bund Garden police station who is investigating the case said, “Victim is college student and perusing her education. Since March, victim was been stalked by Imtiyaaz and in past she had alerted her parent about it. In past her parent warned him and let him go. All the booked person are on run soon we shall arrest them.”

She added, “We appeal to citizen the moment the children complaint about such abuse do not mediate or settled mutually approach us and registered the case.”
