Man kidnaps woman and threatens to kill her if she didn’t marry him as she refuses his proposal due to his short temper

A 22-year-old woman from Balaji Nagar lodged a complaint at the Swargate Police Station. The police arrested Somnath Sunil Sul (25) and Ganesh Bapurao Mahanwar (30), both from Wagholi. The incident happened at Jedhe Chowk to Wagholi, Jejuri and Sadashiv Peth.
According to the police, the complainant and Somnath Sul were in love with each other. Somnath has a short temper, which she didn’t like. They used to have arguments. When the complainant was at Jedhe Chowk in Swargate, Somnath forced her to sit in his car at around 10 pm on Saturday. From there he took her to Wagholi and Jejuri. Next day, on Sunday morning, he brought her to Sadashiv Peth. Beating the complainant, he threatened to kill her and her family members if she did not marry him. On getting to know about this, the police detained and arrested both of them.
