Lights Of Railway Station Will Turn On on Arrival of Train & Will Turn Off on Train Departure, Facility Started in India

Bhopal: Bhopal Railway Division of West Central Railway has taken important steps in the field of energy conservation. Now as soon as a train arrives at the station, the lights of the platform will automatically turn on and it will also turn off as soon as the train departs. This will save electricity. According to Bhopal Railway Board officials, at present, this arrangement has been made on platform number 1 of Jabalpur railway station.

While giving information on twitter by the railways, it was said that Indian Railways has always strived in the direction of energy conservation. In this series, a unique initiative has been taken at Jabalpur station of West Central Railway, in which, if the train is not on the platform, 70% of the automatic lights will be switched off, only the necessary 30% of the lights will remain on. While all the lights will automatically turn on when the train arrives.

Platform lights in Bhopal division have been connected with home signal and starter signal, this will cause the lights to turn on automatically while the train is on the platform and will turn off after the train departs. According to the railways, these lights will operate from the circuit.

Trains will run with solar power
At the same time, trains with solar power will now run on the tracks of Indian Railways. Indian Railways has completed preparations for this. In fact, the Railways has set up a solar power plant in Bina, Madhya Pradesh under its pilot project, which can produce 1.7 megawatts of electricity and is ready to run trains with this power. Railways claim that this is the first time in the history of the world when solar energy will be used to run trains. The special feature of this power plant is that 25 thousand volts of electricity will be generated from here which will be transferred on the overhead of direct railways and with the help of this trains will be run.
