This Indian Railway Station Is Divided In Two States, Half In Maharashtra & Half In Gujarat

Ahmedabad: The history of Indian Railways is very old. There are many interesting things about the railway, about which few people know. Do you know that there is also a railway station in the country, which is located in two states. Actually, Navapur railway station is on the Surat-Bhusaval line of Western Railway which is divided into two states.

Half of the Navapur railway station falls in Maharashtra and half in Gujarat. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has also given information about this railway station by tweeting it.

So half of this station is in Gujarat, and the remaining half is in Maharashtra. At the time when Navapur station was built, there was no partition of Maharashtra and Gujarat. At that time Navapur station was under the United Mumbai province. When Mumbai province was partitioned, the Navapur station was divided into two states Maharashtra and Gujarat. Since then this station has its own distinct identity.

Railway passengers are given any information in four different languages at the Navapur railway station which is divided in two states. Announcement takes place in Hindi, English, Gujarati and Marathi, so that travelers coming from both the states of Maharashtra and Gujarat can easily understand.
