Kothrud resident cheated of ₹25 lakh by cyber criminals

Pune :  NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime News |Cyber criminals cheated a woman resident of Kothrud of ₹25.62 lakh by frightening her that a parcel which she had received contained drugs and she may be arrested. (Pune Crime News)

A 29-year-old woman, a resident of Kothrud, has lodged a complaint at the Cyber police station. The cyber police have registered an FIR against Aparna Krishnan Iyer, Ajaykumar Bansal, Bhansingh Rajput and two others.

According to the police, the accused contacted the woman on April 11. They frightened her by telling her that a parcel received by her contained drugs and she may be arrested.

She was forced to transfer money online to two bank accounts. The woman sent ₹25 lakh to two accounts. After the woman lodged a complaint, an FIR was registered.
