Jalgaon: Cop saves man trying to jump off a bridge

Jalgaon: Police Constable Ghanshyam Pawar saved a 30-year-old man from jumping off a bridge of Girna river near Bambori in Jalgaon. The man was trying to attempt suicide after being fed up of debt and loan he had taken from the bank.
Police personnel Dhanshyam Pawar had left Paldhi Naka for home on a two-wheeler after completing his duty at 8 pm. A 30-year-old man was standing on the bridge of Girna river near Bambori at night and was about to jump off the bridge.
Without a moment’s delay, Ghanshyam put his hand on the young man’s waist and pulled him aside. The man identified as Ranjit Suryavanshi (resident of Zainabad, Jalgaon was later taken to his family.
The constable asked him the reason behind taking the step, to which Ranjeet said that he was fed up of the debt he was in. He had taken a loan from a bank and couldn’t repay it. The cop spoke to Ranjeet and later took him to his family.
