NP NEWS 24 ONLINE –  Bowled by Ashwin caught by K L Rahul and India wins the first test match of the series in Australia after 11 tours and 72 years. The greats of Indian cricket like Kapil Dev, Sourabh Ganguly, Anil Kumble could not achieve this feat. The hero of the match was the new age wall of Indian cricket team i.e. Cheteshwar Pujara. He scored almost 200 runs in 2 innings and was almost unbeatable.

Which shows that even after called the weakest Australian team they have performed well. If a batsman from Australian line up managed to stay with the tale they would have got home as Lion and Cummins batted like a proper batsman.

6 Wickets for Bumrah, 6 Wickets for Ashwin, 5 Wickets for Shami, 3 Wickets for Ishant, No five wickets haul in this Test but it was a collective bowling effort which is good for India and tell you that this was indeed the best bowling line-up to tour Australia.

India will be confident to go into Sydney test after a narrow get much-deserved win, but still, have to address issues like impatient lower middle order and not so a comfortable opening pair.
