After 2017 ICC Champions Trophy final, arch rivals were going to meet in Asia Cup after a year but it won’t be possible now.

If you are thinking that the change in the ruling party in Pakistan has affected the cricket between the countries, then you are wrong. But the wrong build schedule of Asia Cup has put the match between India and Pakistan in trouble.

The reason behind this is that India will be playing another international 50 overs match on 18^th of September and on 19^th September they are supposed to play another match with Pakistan. So, this means that Indian international cricket team will be playing 2 international matches within 24 hours.

Former Indian batsmen Virendra Sehwag said that India should not play this Asia Cup as this is not a proper timetable for an International cricket tournament.

A BCCI official said, “The timetable is made by keeping the mind aside. No team can play 2 international games in 2 days. For the 19^th September game, India is not getting any rest while Pakistan is getting 2 days rest. So, this is not accepted and chances of India VS Pakistan match happening is very little.

India is the current defending champions, having won the event in 2016 by beating Bangladesh at Dhaka. The tournament was played in the T20 format, owing to the World T20 that immediately followed it.

This year, the tournament will be played in the United Arab Emirates, at Dubai and Abu Dhabi, from 15th September, with the final set to be held at the Dubai International Stadium on the 28th.

A total of six teams have been divided into two groups, A and B, with two teams qualifying from each group for the Super Fours.

This edition, the 14th overall, will be the third time the tournament is being played in the UAE, who previously hosted it in 1984 and 1995.
