IND vs NZ : Kane Williamson Breaks MS Dhoni’s Record

The New Zealand team lost the match but, for team captain Kane Williamson, the match was a personal achievement. Kane Williamson smashed four sixes and four boundaries on his way to 51 off 26 deliveries. It was the tenth half-century of Williamson’s T20 career. Kane Williamson, as captain, overtook MS Dhoni in scoring the most runs in international T20 matches.

Dhoni scored 1112 runs while captaining Team India in 72 matches.  At the same time, Williamson has now scored 1134 runs in 40 matches. Only Faf Du Plessis is ahead in this race.  Du Plessis has scored 1273 runs in 40 matches.
