PUNE : IAS Dr. Anil Ramod Suspension | Corrupt IAS officer Dr Anil Ramod is likely to be suspended, according to available information. The CBI had earlier demanded that Ramod should be suspended. Against this background, the divisional commissioner’s office has sent a proposal to the state government.
Dr Anil Ramod, who was working as Additional Divisional Commissioner, had been arrested red-handed by the CBI while accepting a bribe of ₹8 lakh. After his arrest, his house was searched. Cash of ₹6 crore and documents of 14 properties were found. After his CBI custody ended, Dr Ramod is in Yerawada Jail. A hearing on his bail plea is slated to take place on Friday in the Shivaji Nagar court.
Dr Ramod has 370 pending cases with him and a final decision is yet to be taken. Meanwhile, according to available information, Dr Ramod is likely to be suspended.
