Pune PMPML Employees – 7th Pay Commission | PMPML staff would get salary as per recommendations of seventh pay panel from July, says Chandrakant Patil

PUNE : Pune PMPML Employees – 7th Pay Commission | Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil announced at a press conference on Thursday that from July, PMPML employees will get their salaries as per the seventh pay commission. From January, the extra amount will be given over a period of six months. In the coming month, the extended services of Pune Metro would begin and along with 300 minibuses, 900 buses would be purchased. A decision was taken to take effective steps to reduce the losses, he said.

“PMRDA’s Commissioner has been included on the board of directors. Hence, it will contribute to efforts to reduce losses of PMPML. PMRDA has given ₹50 crore last month. In today’s meeting, a decision was taken to clear pending salaries of the staff. The recommendations of the seventh pay panel have been made applicable to PMPML employees from January. However, they were being given half of the increased salary. From next month, they will be given full salary and the differential amount will be given to them in next six months in parts. PMPML employees have made a demand that they should be paid salaries according to the seventh pay panel from 2017. However, considering that the transport utility has made a loss of ₹560 crore, the final decision would be taken by the deputy CM,” Patil said.

“Three hundred buses would be purchased to enable commuters to go to metro stations. The process to procure 300 buses from the Centre and purchase 300 buses has been started. All these buses would be e-buses. At the same time, 300 old buses would be scrapped. While increasing the number of e-buses, space will be made available for charging stations. Due to increasing use of e-buses, the use of natural gas would reduce. We should take steps to reduce expenditure on natural gas and reduce unnecessary expenditure. Officials and staff should make efforts to increase PMPML’s income and reduce expenditure,” Patil said.

“I am going to make a demand to the Centre not to close the Pune Centre of Akashvani and it should stay the decision. The Centre should take a decision by taking everyone into confidence,” Patil added.
