Husband burnt wife alive to death, got lifetime imprisonment

Misunderstanding between couples have increased to such extent that the partners now don’t hesitate to kill their lovers. On the basis of a mere suspicion, wife was burnt alive to death by husband on which district court of Latur finally gave a judgement.

In this incident, husband burnt his wife to death after putting Kerosene on her body. This incident took place five years ago in year 2013 on which the judgement in favour of the deceased came by district court of Latur.

The court sentenced lifetime imprisonment to the accused husband. The deceased wife had given a statement to the police in regard to this case, which proved as an important evidence in this case.

According to Shivaji Nagar Police Station, the couple Jyoti Ramling Bidve(38) and Vilas Dagduji Gendevaad(45) were the residents of Sadguru area and were in a live-in relationship.
According to sources, Vilas, the accused used to doubt the character of his wife frequently which most of the times led to fights and arguments among them.

They were parents of two kids and were living in a rented house and pretended to the other residents to be husband and wife. After few years, they started quarrelling amongst each other.

Before Jyoti’s death, she gave a statement against her husband. A total of eighteen witnesses were brought up in the court while the hearing took place  which included the doctors who were treating Jyoti. Finally, the accused husband was sentenced to lifetime imprisonment.

The case was looked after by Ed. S. R. Mundhda. In which, constable R. T Rathod was a part of the investigation of this case.

Around 5 pm on 15 August 2013, they had a fight. Vilas put Kerosene on Jyoti’s body and set on fire. Jyoti was severely burnt after which was immediately rushed to the hospital but during her treatment she died.
