Gujarat: Vivek Oberoi joins hands with state government to help specially-abled

Mumbai : The Gujarat government, along with Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi, is going to build a special manufacturing park for the specially-abled. The park will be located at a preferred location around Ahmedabad. This manufacturing park will have things that work for the specially-abled and its most of the employees will also be specially-abled.

Together with the Government of Gujarat, Vivek Oberoi will help specially abled people to stand on their feet. Under the initiative, a special manufacturing zone will be set up to help people with disabilities generate income. Various products will be made by specially abled people.

“People still treat specially abled people differently,” Vivek said. “They are excluded from society and are labeled as not stable and they are not considered normal.”

“They should be treated like normal people and I have always wanted to participate in such an initiative so that I can give them a job opportunity and make them self-reliant. I am very happy to be involved in such a mission.”
