Gold Price Today : Gold and silver prices fell, find out what the current prices ‘here’

New Delhi: On Monday gold prices fluctuated significantly. According to HDFC Securities, gold fell by Rs 44 to Rs 53,040 from 53,084 Rs. per 10 grams in the national capital. Similarly, silver prices also declined, it fell by Rs 206 to Rs 68,202 per kg. Silver had closed at Rs 68,408 per kg in the previous session.

Tapan Patel, Senior Analyst (Commodities), HDFC Securities, said, ‘The rupee has seen sharp fluctuations in the price of 24 carat gold in Delhi.’

The Indian currency strengthened due to the rise in domestic stock markets and increased investment by foreign investors. The rupee strengthened by 52 paise to 74.32 against the US dollar.

Globally, gold rose sharply to 1,950 dollar.  Silver, meanwhile, was trading at. 26.80 dollar an ounce. According to Tapan Patel, gold saw gains in the first trading session of the week and the spot price touched 1, 1,950  dollar.

Gold prices continue to decline in the market as well as in futures trading. At 5:02 pm on Monday, gold for delivery in October, 2020 fell by Rs 235, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 51,781 per 10 grams. Similarly, gold for delivery in December fell by Rs 217, or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 51,988 per 10 grams.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) at 05:10 pm, silver for delivery on September 4, 2020 fell by Rs 617, or 0.92 per cent, to Rs 66,450 per kg. Similarly, silver for delivery in December fell by Rs 653, or 0.94 per cent, to Rs 68,990 per kg.
