Girl suspected to be abducted as her body not found after her jumping into a canal

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime News | A girl came to Vadgaon after appearing for exams from college. Two boys saw her keeping the bag on the bank and jumping into the canal. The fire brigade searched for her. But she could not be found. Her parents suspect that someone has abducted her. (Pune Crime News)

On the basis of a complaint lodged by a 46-year-old man from Hingne Khurd, the Sinhagad Road Police have registered a case of kidnapping. The incident happened at the P. Jog Junior College, Manikbaug, Vadgaon on at 12:45 pm January 9.

According to the police, the 17-year-old daughter of the complainant studies in the P. Jog Junior College. She went for the exam on Monday. In the afternoon, after the exam was over, she left the class. She went near the canal while talking on her mobile phone and jumped into the canal. Two passers-by saw this happening. They told the police as well as the fire brigade. Fire brigade searched till late night.

But she could not be found. The girl’s bag was found on the bank of the canal. Her parents suspect that someone might have kidnapped her. According to the complaint given by him, the police have registered a case.
