Fourth S Balan Cup T20 League Inter Club cricket 2023 competition: Pune Police team emerges winner

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – S. Balan Cup T20 League | In the fourth S Balan Cup T20 League Inter Club cricket 2023 competition which has been organised by the Punit Balan Group, the Pune Police team defeated Punit Balan Group team by wickets and won the championship. (S. Balan Cup T20 League)

 

In the event being held at the Shinde High School ground at Sahakar Nagar, the Pune Police team defeated Punit Balan Group team based on the strong batting performance of Karan Shah who remained not out on 89. Batting first, Punit Balan Group team scored 158 runs. Mehul Patel scored 60 runs by hitting seven fours and two sixes. Dheeraj Fatangare (29) and Omkar Khatpe (19) contributed to the team’s total. Parikshit Valsangkar bagged three wickets by giving away 24 runs and put the brakes on the score of Punit Balan team.

 

The Pune Police team overhauled the target in 18.5 overs by losing five wickets. Karaan Shah scored 89 runs by hitting five fours and eight sixes in 51 balls and remained not out. Avdhoot Dandekar scored 27 runs. Karan and Avdhoot had a partnership of 58 runs in 25 balls and made the team’s victory look easy.

 

The winning team of Pune Police team was presented a cheque of ₹1,11,000 and a trophy and Punit Balan Group team was presented a cheque of ₹51,000 and a trophy. In the individual prizes category, the best player Parikshit Valsangkar was presented a cheque of ₹21,000 and a trophy. Best batsman karan Shah, best bowler Sachin Bhosale, best fielder Prafful Mankar and best wicketkeeper Ruturaj Veerkar were each presented with a cheque of ₹11,000 and an insignia.
