NPNEWS24 ONLINE- Petrol and diesel prices have been declining for the last few days. Though the decrease in prices is not that huge but people still get some relief by this.

But, the inflation is now going to hit the lives of the common man, as the prices of non-subsidized liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders have increased by Rs 60 in November. Apart from this there was an increase in prices by Rs 59 in September also. Similarly, the rates of subsidized household cylinders have increased by Rs 2.94. This is the seventh consecutive increase in gas cylinder prices since June.

In November, the price of non-subsidized cylinders will be 880 rupees in Delhi. In particular, the government has decided to increase exemption on subsidised cylinders in November 2018. Now customers will get the amount of Rs 433.66 in their account. In October 2018, the amount was Rs 376.80.

Indian Oil released a statement in the month of September. The rise in the international market prices and the fluctuation in foreign currency exchange rates are the causes to increase in prices of cylinders.

While talking with NPNEWS24, a middle class housewife from Aurangabad, Abhilasha Agrawal said, “At first, they increased the prices of Petrol and Diesel. But now this inflation has reached up to our kitchen also as the government has decided to increase prices of gas cylinders! We do not understand how people like us can celebrate festivals like Diwali with our small income…”

 

A Buldhana based hotelier Deepak Jaiswal said, “Government is cheating common man by saying that deciding the fuel prices is not in their hands. Government decided to increase this prices of the cylinder when century’s biggest festival is just a few days away, so how can we tolerate such kind of injustice?… Is this achhe din?…
