Coronavirus : Wearing Used Mask Again is Very Dangerous ! Learn How to Dispose it

New Delhi: People who are going out or in the office are using the mask a lot to avoid the infection of coronavirus but are not disposing it well at all. Due to which the situation is likely to be serious. Not only this, after using mask, people are throwing it anywhere, due to which the risk of infection increases.

There are many people who keep the used mask at home or use it again. But know that doing so can prove very dangerous for you and your family.

The Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization have already stated that healthy people do not need to wear masks at all. If you get any symptoms of cough or cold or flu, then always wear a mask so that no other person gets infected. But there are many people who are wearing used masks again and again. Because of which this condition can be dangerous.

How to dispose mask

Many health experts say that wearing a mask once worn should be avoided. Burn the used mask or keep it in a place away from home, where it is not in contact. If you are in the office, after removing the mask, dispose it in dustbin. Do not throw it in the street nor in the flush. Do not give it to other people at all. Burning it is the best solution. After this wash your hands thoroughly.

Keep these things in mind while wearing a mask

The Union Health Ministry has also tweeted and said that what needs to be kept in mind while wearing masks :

– Do not reuse disposable masks or disinfect and put them in a closed dustbin.

– Avoid touching the mask while wearing.

– Do not leave the mask hanging on the neck.

– After removing the mask, wash your hands with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub.

– Do not touch the outer surface of the mask while removing the mask.

– Open the pleat of the mask – Note that when opening, it should open at the bottom.

– Keep changing the mask every 6 hours or every-time when it gets wet.

– Cover your nose, mouth and chin with mask and make sure that there is no gap, it should fit properly.
