Coronavirus : Maharashtra Records Highest 1495 Cases in a Day, 54 Deaths

Mumbai : Coronavirus cases in the state rose to 25,922 on Wednesday after the highest 1495  cases of COVID-19 reported in a single day in Maharashtra. At the same time, 54 people have died, out of which 40 are from Mumbai only. An official of the Health Department said that total 25,922 cases of Coronavirus have been reported so far in the state and 975 have died. Of these, 15,747 cases have been reported in Mumbai itself and 596 people have died there. He said that 422 patients were also discharged from the hospital after recovering. A total of 5,547 people have been fully cured so far.

“Of the 54 people who lost their lives, 40 were from Mumbai, six from Pune and two each from Jalgaon, Solapur and Aurangabad,” the official said. At the same time, one person died in Vasai-Virar and Ratnagiri. With this, 975 people have lost their lives in the state from COVID-19.” He said that 2,830 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Pune. There are 3,606 cases in the entire Pune division and 193 people have died here.
