Commissioner of Police Dr. K. Venkatesham inaugurates Cyber Police station in Shivajinagar

Pune: Akash Kharade– The space given to the cyber cell which was working on the terrace of Commissioner office was not enough. Most of the cybercrime takes place with the senior citizens of the city and it was difficult for them to climb up the stairs. It was also troublemaking for the handicap people.

Thus, Under the instruction of Dr. K. Venkatesham Cyber Crime Cell and Crime Branch have been shifted to Police Kalyan Sankul, Police Head Office, Shivaji Nagar. In this building earlier the cyber lab used to function. It has been given the status of the Police station. The inauguration of the new building took place with the hands of Dr. K. Venkatesham. Joint  Commissioner of Police Shivaji Bodakhe,  Additional Commissioner of Police Pradip Deshpande, Ravindra Shengavkar additional Commissioner of Police, Sahebrav Patil additional Commissioner of Police, Sunil Fulari additional Commissioner of Police, and other police officials were present for the event. Police Mitr and other dignitaries were also present for the inauguration.

The new cyber police station is in the heart of the city and it will be more convenient for the citizens to get the redressal of their complaint. The new building is fully equipped and techno-friendly for the cyber station.
