City-based builder cheated of ₹2.54 crore; FIR registered against three builders, director, manager and MD of bank

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime News | An incident has come to light wherein a builder was cheated of ₹2.54 crore by not returning the money of customers who had done bookings in a project built on the land given for development. An FIR has been registered against seven persons at the Hadapsar police station. The FIR has been registered against three builders, director and manager of Janata Sahakari Bank, branch manager and MD of Yes Bank. (Pune Crime News)

 

Rahul Ramdas Tupe (52), a resident of Manjari Budruk, Haveli taluka of RR Tupe Builders Pvt Ltd has lodged a complaint. Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR against VTP Urban Project’s Nilesh Parlesha, Vilas Thanmal Parlesha, Director of Janata Sahakari Bank Sanjay Mukund Lele and Manager Naresh Dattu Mittal, manager of Viman Nagar and Kalyani Nagar branches of Yes Bank, Yes Bank MD Ranveet Gill, a resident of Mumbai under sections 403, 406, 409, 417, 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 474, 477(A), 506, 120(B) and 34 of the IPC. The incident took place from July 2016 to April 1, 2023 at survey number 201 at Hadapsar. The police have registered the FIR after the order issued by the court.

 

According to the police, the complainant has a construction business i.e. RR Tue Builders Pvt Ltd. He had given land at survey number 1 in Hadapsar to Bhushan Parlesha, Nilesh Parlesha, Vilas Thanmal Parlesha of VTP Urban Project for development by preparing an agreement. It had been decided that of the booking amount of customers, 41.73 will be given to the complainant and remaining 58.27 per cent to VTP Urban Project.

 

The accused, Parlesha, prepared fake documents and made fake signatures of the accused. Despite knowing that the signatures of the complainant were fake, Director of Janata Sahakari Bank Sanjay Lele and Bhavani Peth branch Manager Naresh Mittal gave a cheque book of the complainant’s account. Despite knowing it is against the rules, Sanjay Lele and Naresh Mittal gave the cheque book of the complainant to the accused.

 

The managers of Kalyani Nagar and Viman Nagar branches of Yes Bank opened a fake account of VTP Urban Project by using fake documents. It is necessary to take permission of the complainant at the time booking of flats and before making the flat agreements and his signature on the booking agreement. However, the accused did not follow the procedure and did not give ₹2.54 crore to the complainant and cheated him, the complaint states. Meanwhile, the complainant, Rahul Tupe, had lodged a compliant with the court against the accused. After the court issued orders that an FIR should be registered against the accused, the Hadapsar police have registered an FIR under section 156(3) of CRPC. The police are probing the case.
