Cinematographer Nadeem Khan in Critical Condition, Suffered Brain Injury After he Fell from Staircase

Mumbai : Bollywood veteran cinematographer Nadeem Khan underwent brain surgery at a hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday. Currently, Khan’s condition in the ICU is critical. Nadeem Khan, son of the late writer and lyricist late Rahi Masoom Raza, suffered severe head and chest injuries after falling from the stairs on Monday evening and was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra.

His wife and singer Parvati told PTI, “We were at home due to lockdown for the last two months and last night we were all exiting the house when he fell from the stairs, causing injuries and bleeding. We took him immediately to the hospital.” She said, “He has been admitted to the hospital, currently in the ICU. He has undergone brain surgery and the next 48 hours are very difficult. We are praying that he get well. ”

Nadeem Khan has cinematographed more than 40 films like “Disco Dancer”, “Zamana”, “Aandhi-Toofan”, “Aag Hi Aag”, “King” and “Gunah”. He has also directed a film titled “Tirchhi Topiwale” (1998) starring Chunky Pandey, Indra Kumar and Monica Bedi.
