China Deliberately Hid the Severity of Coronavirus to Hoard the Medical Supplies: US Homeland Security

Washington : US officials believe that China has hidden the scale of Coronavirus outbreak and the fact that the disease is highly contagious so that it can store the medical equipment needed to deal with it. This information has been revealed in intelligence documents. According to a four-page document from the Ministry of Home Security found by the agency, Chinese leaders deliberately concealed the seriousness of the global epidemic from the world in early January. There is 1st May date on these documents.

The revelation comes at a time when the Trump administration is constantly criticizing China. Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo on Sunday said that China is responsible for the spread of the disease and should be held accountable for it. Apart from the sharp criticism of China, critics of the administration are also questioning the government and saying that the government’s response against the virus is insufficient and slow.

President Donald Trump’s political rivals have accused the president and his administration of blaming China, which is a geopolitical foe but also an important trading partner of the US, for turning its criticism in the other direction. The assessment said that China continued to under-report the severity of the coronavirus and during this time it increased imports of medical supplies while reducing exports.

US Secretary of State said – there is a lot of evidence of corona infection spread from Wuhan lab. The report said that almost the whole of January, China has not informed the World Health Organization that the coronavirus  is ‘contagious’ so that it can seek medical supplies from abroad and during this period, china’s import of face masks, surgical gowns and gloves increased rapidly. According to the report, these results are based on a 95 percent probability that China’s changes in import and export policy were not normal.

On Sunday, 27,000 new cases of corona infection were reported in America, after which the total cases have increased to more than 11,81,000. The number of deaths in America also declined and in the last 24 hours, about 1150 deaths due to infection have been recorded. After this, the figure of total deaths has now exceeded 68,500. 9,40,000 infected people are still being treated in the US, while more than 16000 are in critical condition
