Car crashed into Lonavla Valley; 1 dead, 3 injured

In a shocking accident, after a four-wheeler car crashed into a valley, one died while three others were injured.

The accident took place early morning around 3:47 am on Friday, September 28, 2018. The four-wheeler (Mahindra XUV 500) moving from I.N.S Shivaji was heading to Lonavla’s Lions Point.

The four-wheeler while heading towards destination fell into a 150-foot-deep valley.
After the accident, one died at the spot and three others were injured.

When the entire city of Pune was asleep, Shivdurg rescue team received a call early in the morning, that a four-wheeler going from Shivaji towards Lions Point, Lonavla has fallen into valley.

After the call, the Shivdurg rescue team immediately rushed to the spot and found the four-wheeler in a ruptured condition along with a dead body and three others fallen beside injured.

The dead body of the person was found inside a thick bush just beside the car was found. The three others who were injured were rescued by Shivdurg team and were immediately admitted to hospital by Lonavla city police.

The name of the deceased is Manish Ramesh Pritvani (25), resident of Kharghar, Mumbai.

The way towards Lonavla’s Lion  point is quite dangerous and accident prone because of it’s steep slopes, sharp turns, dense trees, fog and darkness.

The bodies were traced out around 6:18 pm by the police who further handed them over to the ambulance sending them to hospital for treatment.

The Shivdurg rescue team’s work is highly commendable. The team said, “We are very proud of our Shivdurg team that responded immediately after the news of the accident and rushed to the spot during the time of sleep, in just two hours.”
