Burglary Spree Hits Pune District Central Bank: Documents Scattered, Valuables Stolen

Pune: A burglar broke into the Pune District Central Bank located in Redni, within the confines of Indapur taluka. The intruder gained access by cutting through the window panes and shattering the glass. Failing to locate cash, the thief resorted to breaking the lock of the iron cupboard within the bank premises. Among the items stolen were a hard disc, a switch, and a wall clock.

Furthermore, adjacent establishments such as the neighbouring gram panchayat office and post office were also targeted, with their respective offices broken into and documents scattered. Bank manager Dilip Balbhim Gosavi, 53, has filed a complaint at the Indapur police station after this incident came to light on Tuesday morning.

As per the detailed information, the accused entered the bank’s office on Monday night by cutting through the window panes. After that, he broke the locks of three iron cupboards in the bank and stole Rs 45 thousand along with the network switch, hard drives, NVR, POE switch, and wall clock. During this, he also misplaced all the files and important documents from the banks.

The thief further broke the door of the neighbouring gram panchayat office and the clerk’s office in the post office and damaged its documents. Police Inspector Suryakant Konkane is investigating the case.
