Boys Locker Room Case : Several Prominent School Students in the Custody of Cyber Cell, Investigation On

New Delhi : A Twitter user tweeted on May 3 about an Instagram chat group named ‘Boys Locker Room’. In this tweet, the user said that there are hundreds of South Delhi boys in the Instagram group, who allegedly share photos of minor girls. The user said that girls in the group are objectified and ‘gangrape’ is planned. The Delhi Police, which started an investigation against the case on Monday, has asked the photo sharing app to share the bios of all those involved in the viral group, where photographs of underage girls were being shared and objectified.

Now big news has come in this matter. Delhi Police’s Cyber Cell has detained a student of Delhi’s renowned school. The cyber cell has seized their mobile phone. Around 20 more boys from the group have been identified. All of them are students from 4-5 schools in South Delhi. The remaining students have also been identified and will be questioned soon. The Cyber Cell of Delhi Police has written a letter to the Instagram Administration seeking details about the group. Police has filed a case against unknown people under IT Act 66 and 67A while taking suo moto.

According to the information, the entire case was disclosed by a girl from South Delhi. Posting on Instagram, the girl wrote that there is a group of boys on Instagram, all aged between 17–18 in South Delhi called ‘Boys’ Locker Room’, where photographs of young girls were being manipulated by objectifying. Two boys from my school are part of it. Now Swati Maliwal, chairperson of the Delhi Women’s Commission, has demanded the immediate arrest of the boys.
