Bollywood should not be remembered only for Salman’s films: Nasiruddin Shah

MUMBAI: NPNEWS24 ONLINE-  ‘The film shows the time and if the audience turned back then the year 2018 should not be recognized for Salman Khan’s films only,’ said by senior actor Nasiruddin Shah. He made this statement while giving an interview to PTI.

“Film cannot change society or neither make a revolution. I can not say whether the film is a medium of education or not. The documentaries can teach something but films can not. People only watch movies for entertainment and forget about it. Only serious and parallel films are successful in leaving a mark or making impression on the people. That’s why I worked in films such as ‘A Wednesday,’ ‘Rogan Josh’. I consider it’s my responsibility that to play role in such movies,” Nasiruddin Shah said. He also clarified that he will present films on social issues.

In the film ‘Rogan Josh’, Nasiruddin Shah featured as a chef at Taj Hotel which is written and directed by Sanjeev Vig.

While making criticism on Indian films, he said, ‘People should know how Indian cinema was in 2018. If next generations look back in future, they should not see the year 2018 as only Salman Khan’s films.’ He further said it is our responsibility to bring the best movies for the audience.

Bollywood actor Nasiruddin Shah is known for doing unique films and he is one of the strong actors of his era. He has acted from in art films from today’s popular films and has left a mark of his acting.
