Actor Deep Sidhu purportedly chased away by angry farmers for ‘damaging their movement’

New Delhi :  Actor turned activists Deep Sidhu has drawn flak from protestors for turning the farmers’ movement communal after the hoisting of a saffron flag at Red Fort.

Now, several videos have surfaced on social media where Deep Sidhu can be seen running away from the agitated farmers during the Republic Day Kisan tractor rally on Tuesday (January 26).

Sidhu has been alleged to instigate the protestors and lead them to the Red Fort before making them unfurl a religious flag there.

One such video, where Sidhu is being seen doing a Facebook live on a tractor, a group of farmers were hurling at him blaming him for damaging the entire movement.

After this, some farmers came to his rescue and he is seen running away from the angry farmers. The farmers can be purportedly be seen chasing and cursing him for maligning their case. He then takes a bike and rides away from the place.

Earlier, in a Facebook Live, Sidhu said: “We have only hoisted the Nishan Sahib flag on the Red Fort while exercising our democratic right to protest. To symbolically register our protest against the new farm legislation, we put up ‘Nishan Sahib’ and a farmer flag and also raised the slogan of Kisan Mazdoor Ekta.”
