The issue of Maratha reservation still unsolved in Maharashtra. After many silent Marches on last year, this year this March becomes violent. Even many people did suicides while demanding the reservation for the Maratha community. After all this, it seems that government is not taking seriously the demands made by this community, as it is an unsolved issue in

There is 40% people are from the Maratha community in the state. Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) also not gave the reservation to Maratha community, when they were in power. Therefore, now Maratha community will form a new political party, announced by the Maratha Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti (Maratha Reservation Committee) chairman Suresh Dada Patil in a press conference, Pune.

He also added that “Maratha community upset by all government, when Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) was in power, they also neglected the demands of Maratha community. Now the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and Shivsena in power, but the issue of reservation has still remained as it is. The leaders of Maratha, see this community as a vote bank only. That’s why we had done a survey in Maratha youths through various social networking sites, for forming a new political party. We get a positive reply from them. Thus, we are going to form a new political party on the auspicious occasion of Padva.”

Udayanraje will have an important place:

In the Maratha community movement, Satara Member of Parliament (MP) Udayanraje Bhosale was asked to lead the movement of the Maratha community in the state. He said that he was with the Maratha community. Therefore his support will be with this new party, as expressed by Suresh Dada Patil.

Patil said that Udayanraje Bhosale is a direct descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and hence the Maratha community will always support to Udayanraje. He also said that Udayanraje will be present as the chief guest for every program of the party.

Nationalist Congress Party cheated to Maratha community:

Nationalist Congress Party cheated to Maratha community, as they also didn’t take any firm step for Maratha community. That’s why Maratha community is not trusting on this party anymore. Shivsena, Congress, Nationalist Congress party and BJP, all these four parties didn’t take any step for Maratha community, their new party will be formed, for the betterment of the community, said by Patil.
