A family of six Yemeni nationals deported for staying illegally in Kondhwa

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Yemeni Family Overstaying Pune Deported | A family of six Yemeni nationals has been deported for staying illegally in the country without a valid visa or passport. The action was taken by a squad of the Foreigners’ Registration Officer (FRO) Branch. The family comprising two men, a woman and three minor children, was arrested in October within the jurisdiction of Kondhwa police station. The arrested had arrived in India on a student visa. They have been staying illegally since 2017. The FRO had kept under watch the two men in Kondhwa while the woman and her three children were lodged in the Rescue Foundation in Hadapsar. They were opposing their deportation to Yemen. They had filed a petition in the Cantonment court against the action. It was rejected. Then they moved the Bombay High Court, which disposed of it too. They were then brought to the Mumbai International Airport on December 24, 2022. The FRO sent them back to their country. (Yemeni Family Overstaying Pune Deported)

 

The action was taken under the guidance of CP Retesh Kumaarr, Jt CP Sandeep Karnik, DCP R Raja, DCP Niyati Thakkar, ACP Ramakant Mane, ACP Bhupesh Bavankar. A team comprising Sr PI Jagannath Kalaskar, API Pankaj Pawar, police constables Paul Anthony, Shailendra Wani, Dilip Kachi, Tanaji Sarde, Sachin Sahane, Nilima Khilare, Suhas Dhaigude, Kedar Jadhav, Sanjay Nigade, Manisha Tate and Kajal Kumbhar took part in the action.
