Pune: Trivial Altercation Provokes Molestation of Girl in Wanwadi; Seven Accused Booked for Misdeeds

Pune: A very insane and disgusting act of molestation of a girl by stripping her clothes for a trivial reason of using society’s common area took place in Wanwadi. In this regard, a complaint has been lodged against seven people at Wanwadi police station.

The accused are identified as Preet Kaur, Christopher John Bosco, Shweta Umesh Shetty, Gajendra Govindsingh, Sachin Kadam, and Jayesh Girish Mali. The identity of one woman involved in this has not yet been identified. All the accused are residents of Kedarinagar in Wanwadi.

The victim girl’s 50-year-old mother complained that the accused and her family live in the same society. She mentioned that in the month of December, her daughter was walking on the terrace of the society. At that time, the accused, Gajendra Govindsingh, came there along with his friends and abused the girl, asking her to leave from there.

When the girl did not listen to him and stayed there, the enraged accused brutally assaulted her. He further tried to molest a girl, stripping her clothes and making unwelcome advances. He further damaged the girl’s phone by throwing it down.

Distressed by the incident, the accused told her parents this ordeal. After that, the girl’s mother filed a complaint against the accused at Wanwadi police station on Friday. Accordingly, action has been taken against all the accused, booking them under sections 354, 354(a), 323, 427, 504, 143, 147, and 149 of the IPC.

The police further informed that Assistant Police Inspector Shendge is conducting further investigation into this.
