23 Indian passports of Sikh pilgrims go missing from Pakistan government!

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- 23 Indian passports of Sikh pilgrims have reportedly gone missing from Pakistan High Commission.

According to sources, the twenty three owners of passport were about to visit Gurudwaras in Pakistan who were Indian sikh pilgrims. Along with various Gurudawaras, they were supposed to go to Gurudwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur which is situated in Narowal District of the state.

Although, Pakistan government has denied allegations of losing the passports on its officials. All the pilgrims whose passports went missing have complained regarding this in police station and an FIR has been registered with police.

The incident came into light when it reached to Ministry of External Affairs who then took the issue to Pakistan in order to recover the lost Indian passports.
One of the officials, Indian government told a leading newspaper on this issue that, “This is a serious issue and we have taken all necessary action to prevent any misuse of these passports”.

Also, earlier Pakistan had issued passports to over 3800 Indian Sikh pilgrims to participate in the 549th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak from November 21 to 30.

Also, Chief Minister of Punjab, Amrinder Singh had passed a resolution in order to swap the land with Pakistan to open the Kartarpur corridor  and bring the Kartapur Gurudwara inside the Indian territory which is demanded by the Sikh pilgrims since long time.
