10 delivery boys cheat company of ₹20 lakh; FIR registered at Warje Malwadi police station

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime News | An incident has come to light wherein the Jio Mart company was cheated of ₹20.70 lakh and goods ordered by customers were not delivered to them and were sold in the market. (Pune Crime News)

 

The Warje Malwadi police have registered an FIR against 10 delivery boys working in Delivery Plus company. The accused have been identified as Mahesh Sonwane, Mayur Kadu, Prashot Kamble, Aditya Waghmare, Bhishek Sathe, Anant Karche, Lalit Shinde, Raj Gupta, Mahadev Kamble and Siddhant Marathe.

 

Vinod Tatya Rakhe (27), a resident of Chimbli, has lodged a compliant (135/23) at the Warje police station. The incident took place at Agarwal Godown at Shivne from January to March 23.

 

According to the police, the complainant owns a company, Delivery Plus. Through his company, goods ordered by customers from JioMart are delivered to the customers’ residence. Many delivery boys had been hired for carrying out deliveries. Ten delivery boys collected goods from the godown but instead of delivering them to customers, they sold them to other customers. The money was not deposited in the office and misappropriated goods worth ₹19.72 lakh and cash of ₹98,000.
