Youth murdered, body hanged in his house

The incident took place in Chas (Taluka Khed) on Saturday, where a 24-year-old youth was killed and his body was hanged in the house.

The deceased has been identified as Yogesh Ishwar Waghmare, a resident of Chas, Taluka – Khed in Pune district. Based on the complaint from his sister Yogita Gaurav Jaid (23) of Jaidwadi in Khed taluka, police have registered a case of murder and detained three persons for questioning.

According to police, Yogesh was engaged in the sale of baby corn maize and lived in Chas. His body was found hanging around 10 am in his house. He was gagged and his hands were tied with wire, which indicates his murder. Police are are investigating the case from all possibilities.

Police inspector Arvind Chaudhary said that three men have been detained for questioning in connection with the murder.

The father of the deceased Yogesh died of cardiac arrest ten months ago. His mother had left the house when he was very young. He had been living alone after the marriage of his sister who lived at her house in Jaidwadi.
