Youth arrested for molesting women in Viman Nagar

As in Viman Nagar area, a woman was manhandled and molested by a youth under the pretext of helping her on wee hours of Sunday.

The incident took place on early Sunday morning around 6.30 am and victim raised an alarm after which the police on the spot arrested the youth.

The incident came to light after 30-year-old victim lodged a complaint with Vimannagar police station which falls under the jurisdiction of Pune city commissionate. He has been arrested under the relevant section of Indian Penal Code Comprises of molestation.

In this regard, the police arrested Kailash Vivek Kumar (24), a resident of Hadapsar.

According to investigating police officer of Vimannagar Police station said, “the victim was on her to morning walk when she noticed her bike was the breakdown. On repeatedly attempt by the victim to kick-start her morphed. Later the arrested person came near her under the pretext of helping and assisting her he touched her.

He added,”Later when the victim told she will manage he again did the same thing on which she raised an alarm and alerted us. We immediately detained and arrested him.”
