Why the White House is Called the ‘House of Ghosts’, Many US Presidents have Experienced Weired Things!

Washington : Everyone knows that the name of the residence of the President of America is the White House. But many people believe that it is also a haunted place.  Many people who have lived here have felt the presence of spirits.

The construction of the White House was completed between 1792 and 1800. It was designed by American architect James Hoban. There are a total of 132 rooms inside the White House, along with 412 doors 147 windows 28 rings 8 stairs 35 bathrooms and 3 elevators.

The kitchen of White House has capacity to cook food for more than 140 guests. In the year 1901, the 26th President of America, Theodore Roosevelt officially gave the White House its current name.

The White House is a place where the President of America has written many histories. This is where most of the major political moments of American history have taken place. But at one time people believed that spirits reside here.

The same was confirmed by American Author Jenna Bush Hager 2 years ago. He said, the White House is ghostly.

He interviewed a show and said – “When I was in the White House, in the middle of the night my phone rang, there was a chimney in the room.  Suddenly a noise was heard. It was the sound of the piano. The piano was playing exactly sabne music as it used to play in the olden days.”

Harry Truman, the 33rd US President, saw a ghost in the White House. In a letter to his wife, he said, “I was in an old room in the White House, at 4 o’clock in the night someone knocked on my door 3 times, but when I went to open the door there was no one. It was quite scary.”

People say that in the White House, the soul of former President of America Abraham Lincoln wanders. Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States. He was shot dead on 15 April 1865.

Many people say that they have seen the ghost of  Abraham Lincoln in the Yellow Room and in Lincoln’s bedroom. Many foreigners who have lived in the White House say that they have witnessed some weired incidents in the White House.

Abraham Lincoln’s son Willie Lincoln was also killed on 20 February 1862 at the White House.  He was spotted in the White House in the 1870s by staff members of the Grant administration.
