White House Unfollowed Modi on Twitter, Why America’s Attitude Changed in Just Few Days?

New Delhi : Amidst the Coronavirus epidemic, when the US needed help with hydroxychloroquine medicine, India went ahead and helped them. A few days later, the White House started following India’s six Twitter handles, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on social media. But now after a few days, the White House has once again unfollowed all these handles.

When India decided to give hydroxychloroquine to fight the Coronavirus, on April 10, the White House Twitter handle followed several Indian Twitter handles.

These included Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Prime Minister’s Office, Rashtrapati Bhavan, the Indian Embassy in America and the American Embassy in India. Apart from these, US Ambassador to India Ken Juster was also followed.

With all this, the number of people followed by the White House was 19, in which all foreign handles belonged to India.

Now a few days later, the White House has unfollowed all these Twitter handles and has started following the Twitter handle associated only with the US administration, Donald Trump. The White House is now following only 13 Twitter handles. Many discussions and speculations have started on this on social media.
