Weather update: J&K, Himachal, Uttarakhand likely to get rain and snowfall for next 5 days

 

New Delhi : In many places in the country, the effect of cold can still be seen. This can also be due to rain and snowfall due to the Western Disturbance being created in the north. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department has informed that a fresh Western Disturbance has formed once again. Due to this, heavy snowfall is expected in most parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh besides heavy rain for the next five days. According to IMD, along with it, heavy rains and snowfall are forecast in most areas of Uttarakhand for the next five days.

According to IMD, from 23 to 26 February, snowfall is also expected in many areas of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Along with this, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad will have 5 days of snowstorms. According to IMD, on 25 and 26 February, these areas may also get rain.

At the same time, the Meteorological Department has informed that due to the formation of cyclonic activity over northern Kerala, heavy rains are expected on Tuesday in most parts of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.

Light to moderate rains may occur in Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Kerala and Mahe. There is a possibility of heavy rains in some interior areas of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Puducherry and Karaikal.
