Violence is not the way to solve a problem: Rajnikant on CAA

Chennai: npnews 24 Online – About the violent protests taking place on the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) across the country, actor Rajnikant said that violence should not be the way to solve any problem. In a tweet on late Thursday night, Rajnikant said, “Violence should not be the way to solve any problem. Indian people should unite and in their minds there should be talk of being vigilant for the security and welfare of the nation.”

Rajnikant said that the ongoing violence in the country is disturbing him. However, Rajnikant, who said he would step down in politics and contest the Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu in 2021, did not express his views on CAA, against which protests are taking place across the country. Reacting to Rajnikant’s tweet, in his tweet, the founder of the NMK party, Seaman, asked him to put his views on the CAA. Referring to Rajnikant’s tweet, Seaman also said that it was insulting the students who were opposing the CAA.
