Video: Florida defendant flirts with Broward County Judge during virtual hearing

While on virtual court appearance on Thursday, defendant Demetrius Lewis in Fort Lauderdale, Florida appeared before Judge Tabitha Blackmon to set his bond on an attempted burglary charge, used this opportunity to flatter her saying, “Judge, you [are] so gorgeous, so gorgeous judge, I just had to tell you. You’re gorgeous”.

Judge Tabitha Blackmon thanked him and replied, “Flattery will get you everywhere, but not here”. As you can see in the video above, Judge Blackmon is all business as defendant Lewis steps in front of the camera on Thursday.

Prosecutors said Lewis had tried to break into a home while three children and their mother were inside. They said the mother watched what was going on from a doorbell camera and a neighbor intervened.

In this most recent case, Lewis is charged with attempted burglary of an occupied dwelling. He is being held on a $5,000 bond.
