vaccine Geopolitics: India will provide vaccine to Bangladesh on a priority basis

Dhaka: India will supply coronavirus vaccine to Bangladesh on a priority basis as soon as the mass production is started, said foreign secretary Harsh Shringla on his visit to Bangladesh. He traced how important bilateral relationships are.

Earlier India has already provided different countries with much in demand hydroxychloroquine (HCQ). Recently, it exported critical kits to many countries such as Lebanon.

On one side where countries are making vaccines but promised it to be only for the citizens, India and China are increasing its reach and influence by providing vaccine doses to neighbouring countries. India has promised vaccines to Bhutan and Maldives.

Shringla met his counterpart Masud bin Momen, a day after PM Modi Met Sheikh Hasina. He also said, ‘ India produces 60% of world vaccines when the vaccine is produced, all our neighbouring friends and partners are going to be part of it’.
