Unit owner tries to mediate in quarrel, killed in Mundhwa

The victim has been identified as Ravindra Digambar Gaikwad (60), resident of Gaikwad Ali, Mundhwa. The Mundhwa police arrested three mobike-borne persons in this connection. They have been identified as Akash Jawale (19), Sagar Jawale (22) and Sahil Sutar (19), all residents of Manjari.
Sundresh Subhash Jaiswal (39), resident of Vadgaon Sheri, lodged a complaint at the Mundhwa police station. The incident took place at Gaikwad Vasti in Keshav Nagar, Mundhwa on Sunday afternoon.
According to the police, Ravindra Gaikwad is the owner of Kalyani Engineering. The complainant works in this company. Three persons were fighting on the road in front of the unit. Gaikwad heard the noise and tried to intervene when the trio attacked him with choppers. Then they escaped on the motorcycle. Gaikwad was rushed to the hospital, where he died during treatment.
The police have arrested the trio on the murder charge. PI Pradeep Kakade is investigating.
